Sarojini Bhawan is one of the 04 girls’ hostels at IET Lucknow which is chiefly allotted to female students pursuing B. Tech. first year at IET Lucknow.  It is one of the recently constructed hostels and has capacity to provide a comfortable stay to around 100 hostellers.  It is fully managed by the students elected by the inmates representing and executing different activities of the hostel with the help of Wardens. With all the facilities and infra-structure, this hostel strives to provide an ambient environment for the students.

Rooms and Basic Facilities:

  • There are 33 T-shaped 3-seater rooms. Each room is furnished with 03 sets of single bed, desk, chair and cupboard, one for each resident of the room.
  • It has a Common Hall with facility of television, seats, spare beds, three tables, bookcases and indoor games.
  • It has water coolers on each floor and Geysers in each of the 06 washrooms.
  • It encloses two well-maintained gardens potted with roses and many beautiful seasonal plants/ trees.
  • It consists of all the basic facilities to aid the students in the hostel.

Food/Mess

  • Hostel has a Mess Hall with capacity of around 64 students at a time.
  • Clean and Hygienic Mess facility is provided from breakfast to dinner with once a week special food/ diet facility.

Recreational Activities

  • Recreational activities may held in the Common Hall having a television and indoor games like chess and carrom-board.
  • Hostel also has dedicated grounds for playing badminton.

Safety

  • The hostel has able guards to secure the entrance by ensuring strict check on the entrance. Record of the coming and going of the inmates is also well-maintained to ensure their safety.
  • Apart from round the clock security staff, hostel’s Night attendant (female) is also on duty to take care and assist the residents throughout the night.

General Points

  • Decorum must be maintained by all hostellers in all areas.
  • The hostel staff cum attendants is dedicated to ensure a secure and studious environment for the hostellers.
