| The Electronics & Communication Engineering Department of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow was established in year 1984. The Society for Electronics Exploration and Development of the Electronics Engineering Department was started in year 2009.
Welcome to the Society of Electronics Exploration and Development (SEED). The society aims to sow the seed of curiosity within each student who wishes to revolutionize the technology and is ready to transcend the frontiers of knowledge, along with what’s within.
The vision was to link our technical theoretical curriculum to practical applications. The society provides a platform for each student to have a hands-on knowledge of science along with practical implementation of their curriculum.
The society designs and presents tasks that challenge the student’s mind to bring out the hidden creative ideas. The ideas which lead the human society towards a better tomorrow. The society provides a perfect channel for the creative minds to put forward the revolutionizing ideas and create a perfectly blend of innovation and research that finds its application in the real world. This contributes to the overall development of the students.
“The real problem is not whether machines think but whether men do”, the society provides that opportunity and platform along with guidance to make you think out of the box. To utilize the theoretical knowledge in the practical world. With the clear vision of being able to use knowledge for better creative technological advancement for a better tomorrow I hope the society helps you bring out the real Engineer in you.

Objectives of the society:-
- To strengthen the technical aspects and make ourselves equipped to face real world challenges.
- To motivate the students to look for deeper knowledge and refine their thoughts in the field of Electronics Engineering.
- To help students explore Electronics through practical knowledge and make them familiar with various electronics instruments, circuits and software.
- To promote the technical atmosphere in the college by organizing various seminars, workshops and guest lectures.
- To improve student-industry interface and increase their industrial exposure by taking students for various industrial tours.
- To keep students up to date with the current technological developments.
- To create healthy environment between students and faculty members.
- To develop overall personality of students by organizing various kind of activities.
- To provide platform to students to share their problems and experiences among them by creating counseling cell to listen to their personal, academic or any other problems.
- To timely organize various types of social activities like get- together, fresher party and farewell parties.
Membership:-
Eligibility:- Membership of ‘SEED’ is open to every student of Electronics Engineering department.
Method:- A membership form shall be provided at the time of registration of membership shall be renewed each year.
Termination of Membership:- If a student does not fill registration form every year then his/her membership shall be terminated and it can be also nominated when any one is found indulged in misconduction.

General body
- Membership :- All students of Electronics Department will be member of the Society.
- Powers of Members:- Polling for the election of executive body and amendment in any rule can be made by the consent of 2/3 of general body.
- Meeting:- There should be one meeting per semester.

2. Faculty Advisor : Faculty Member
Duties- In case of any conflict the decision of Patron will be final. He will give guidance.
II President/Coordinator – All Executive members will select the President/Coordinator by polling

COMPOSITION
- Executive Committee:students from 3rd year will be in the 6 from the EC and 3 from EI
Note: If in any case the members are not in the above composition then Advisory Committee can exceed the members from the second branch.
- Advisory Committee :Advisors will be there from final year [ President/Coordinator, Secretary and Treasurer]
- Working Committee: 12 students from 2nd year will be in the 8 from the EC and 4 from EI
Note: If in any case the members are not in the above composition then Advisory Committee can exceed the members from the second branch.
Tenure:- The member will be elected for 1 year
Meeting:-There will be a meeting of executive body in 15 days and a meeting Advisory Committee will be every month.
III Secretary:– All Executive members will select the President by polling
Duties- 1. He/She will organize all the events.
2. He/She will call the meeting among patron, advisory committee and executive members.
3. He/She will present the annual report of society at end of the session.
IV Treasure/Accountant: – He/She will deal with monetary work of the society and elected by all executive members by polling. He will present the financial report of each semester.
Other Members – They will be elected by the General Body.
Duties - they will manage the events and organize them.
- Advisory Committee
They will be the President, Secretary, and Treasurer of the previous year Executive Committee of the society and they will advice the Executive Body from time to time. They can call the meeting of Executive Committee and they can give directions to Executive Committee if it is not working properly.
- Working Committee
They will be elected by the 2nd year students of General Body and will work with the Executive Committee.
