Status of Project
The project introduces an innovative Automated Car Parking System, utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) to address urban parking challenges and the surge in vehicle ownership. Strategically placed sensors continuously monitor and transmit real-time data on parking slot availability. Users can access this information through a dedicated application, enabling them to locate vacant slots within the parking area and remotely on mobile devices. The system incorporates a dynamic hourly time slot mechanism to regulate vehicle occupancy, integrating both real-time and share-time reservations for user flexibility. Timely notifications and fines ensure compliance with reservation times. A dynamic pricing scheme balances resource usage, contributing to reduced traffic congestion. The system's dynamic entry management facilitates optimal traffic flow by allowing new entries when spaces are available and deploying a servo barrier at full capacity. This innovative approach optimizes parking efficiency and enhances overall urban mobility.
