Dr. Prerana is an Assistant Professor (Contractual) in Department of Electronics & Instrumentation Engg at IET lUCKNOW. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D ) degree in the department of Electronics Engineering at Harcourt Butler Technical University , Kanpur . She was a Teacher–cum-Research Fellow under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme –II & III of World Bank project at Harcourt Butler Technical University(erstwhile Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur (UP), India) for 4 years (2014-2018) She received her Master of Technology (M.Tech) in Digital Communication under the joint supervision of Dr. Dharmendra Singh as External Supervisor at Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IITR) Roorkee, Uttarakhand and Dr. Sandip Vijay as Internal Supervisor at Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at Dehradun Institute of Technology (DIT), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India (now DIT University Dehradun, Uttarakhand ) Uttarakhand Technical University (with Honours) and Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical Univerity (UPTU) Lucknow, India (now Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (UP), India) and . She has also served as Assistant Professor in department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Axis Institute of Technology and Management Kanpur (UP) India affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (UP), India for 2 years (2012-2014). She has authored or coauthored 8 papers in different international journals and conference proceedings. Her teaching and research interest include in Digital Electronics, Analog & Digital Electronics Protection and Restoration in optical networks, Power Efficiency Techniques in WDM.
